Bad news:
I gave up on integrating SANE and sending faxes. I did fix up the receiving part and fixed some bugs. I will post it here when I have a chance.

Why did you give up?
Answer: because other than hi-end SCSI scanners, the typical USB hardware is just too darn slow and unreliable. (Not to mention that most USB scanners have incredibly cheezy ADF if they have one at all!!) If and when low-cost 4-in-one platforms are fully supported (I'm thinking HP & Brother, for example) I will reconside this decision. For now, it's not worth my time - or my customers'!

Updated 090804 release... now working on configure/troubleshoot and SANE modules.

Huge changes. Many bug fixes. Metadata overhaul. I have some screen shots that show a shell of a Send GUI. Expect that to change. Code has been split up into several modules...

Since folks are having some much fun with voice modems, I figured I'd give a few links to retailers of the models I use and work with: (USR/3COM 2976 and MultiTech MT5634ZPX):

*** WARNING ***'-NV' on the end of these means NO VOICE support which would be bad if you want voicemail to work! Don't find out the hard way! Also, make very sure you're getting a PCI not an ISA! (unless, that is, you want ISA :)
